What to expect.

  • Sepia is fine

The model reads the light and dark in the photo, not the brown tint, and replaces the tint with natural colour.

  • Lace and white blouses stay white

Edwardian clothes were often pale. They stay pale, and the colour goes into faces, hair, hats and backgrounds.

  • Postcards work well

Many Edwardian portraits were printed as postcards. A clear scan, or a phone photo taken straight on in daylight, colours well.
